Manny Pacquiao vs Jessie Vargas On November 5

Manny Pacquiao will reportedly face Jessie Vargas in his comeback fight this coming November 5.

Bob Arum announced that he will have a meeting with the 37-year-old world champion and now a senator to discuss the venue. Reportedly, he has already reserved the Thomas and Mack Center. However, a Dubai venue is possible.

Pacquiao has 58 wins, six losses and two draws. He had 38 knockouts. The 27-year-old Vargas, on the other hand, has 27 wins, a loss with 10 knockouts.

Pacquiao originally announced his retirement after his victory against Timothy Bradley on April 9. However, Michael Koncz said the champ’s life is boxing.

“Retirement doesn’t suit Manny right now,” said Koncz. “Boxing is in his blood. When he trains, it’s like a pressure-release valve. You can see a dramatic difference in his mood… He’s happy. It’s amazing what training and fighting does for him.”

Terrence Crawford was the first pick of Team Pacquiao. However, Koncz said the team decided to let go of the bout because they don’t think that the “fighting style” of the unbeaten two-belt junior-welter world champion won’t fit the Filipino fighter’s.

“I don’t like Crawford’s style. I don’t believe it’s a style that suits Manny,” koncz said.

Reports has it that Pacquiao is opting to train in the Philippines because he was elected as senator.

“[His] primary concerns and objectives are to fulfill his obligations as senator. He’ll train there because he’s committed. He’s serious about his votes. He’s not having any absentee votes.”
