Celebrity radio DJ Karen Bordador was arrested together with her boyfriend during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City.
Recovered from the unit were ecstasy, marijuana, and marijuana oil estimated to be worth P3 million. The raid also yielded drug paraphernalia and a money counting machine. The counting machine is an indication that huge transactions were being held at the unit, according to the officials.
In a report by TV Patrol, Bordador and her boyfriend, Emilio Lim, were arrested by the officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday, August 13, 2016.
Lim, who also uses the name Edwardo Santos, was the main target of the authorities.
"Itong operation na ito ay bunga ng direktiba ng ating chief PNP, na sugpuin ang ilegal na droga sa high-end clubs tsaka mga bars," said Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario.
(This operation is the fruit of the directives of our PNP chief to bust illegal drugs in high-end clubs and bars.)
According to Apolinario Lim is one of the biggest supplier of drugs in clubs in Makati and Bonifacio Global City (BGC). He noted that Lim’s buyers are teenagers and students from wealthy families.
The Authorities cocked the operation after Fil-Am Evan Reynald Baylon, who was arrested for selling drugs in clubs, pointed Lim as his supplier.
Bordador, one of the original member of the girl group PLAYGIRLS, is a DJ of RX 93.1. She became the host of Flippish and FHM Vixens. She also starred in different ABS-CBN shows.
