Kobe Paras and Compton Magic ended their run in the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships in Las Vegas with a loss against LoneStar Elite Coleman, 80-77.
The 17-and-Under silver bracket of the competition features the Filipino international sensation as part of the Compton Magic team but the team failed to make it to the semi-finals of the competition featuring the best and brightest High School basketball stars in the United States.
Kobe Paras made a back-to-back baskets in the early moments of the second half that tied at the game at 40-all but the LoneStar quickly recovered and never relinquished the lead until the final buzzer sounds.
The 6-foot-5 Kobe Paras scored with nine points on 4-of-7 shooting from the filed in his last Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) game with the Magic this summer. He added with three rebounds, two assists and one block without committing a turnover in 19 minutes for the Magic.
Kobe Paras has an overall average of 7.9 points on 56 percent field goal shooting and 34 percent clip from beyond the arc in seven games of the star-studded Compton Magic team. He also added with 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists and nearly a steal in 19 minutes of playing time for his team.
The son of Benjie Paras, Kobe will return to Los Angeles, California to continue his build-up for his last season at LA Cathedral Phantoms before suiting up for the star-studded UCLA Bruins next year. He will also seek action in the Adidas Global Nations Cup representing Asia at Long Beach, California from August 31 to July 3, 2015.
