The former contestant of Star Circle Quest and Actress Melissa Ricks admit that she is pregnant with her non-showbiz boyfriend on Monday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN New, Thess Gubi, the talent management's PR head, handles Rick’s career said that the rumors saying that she is pregnant was indeed true.
"Yes, it’s true. She is pregnant," Gubi said.
Gubi also clarifies that she never hides the issue.
"Hindi naman tinatago, wala lang nagtatanong," she said.
The 24-year-old actress is currently on break and in Cebu with her friends.
In a recent interview, Ricks said she wanted her love life to be private.
"Basta ang masasabi ko lang happy, nage-enjoy ako. I want to keep things private na lang this time. I learned from the past. Basta dapat masaya lang," she told ABS-CBN News.
Ricks previously went in a relationship with Jake Cuenca. She bravely noted that Cuenca caused her first major heart break. She also fell in love actor-businessman Paul Jake Castillo that also didn’t end well. But, Ricks said she and Castillo were friends.
Ricks started the lime light after ending 4th runner-up in the first season of the ABS-CBN’s artist search "Star Circle Quest." She then guested in the youth oriented drama "SCQ Reload" and became a host in Sunday variety show "ASAP."
After clinching supporting roles in series, movies and other programs, Ricks starred in the series "Kambal sa Uma" alongside Shaina Magdayao. In 2012, she also acted as Elisa Altamira in "Nasaan ka Elisa?", the 2009 drama from Chile, Donde esta Elisa?.
She was last seen in the hit series "Walang Hanggan" with Coco Martin and Julia Montes.
In this 2014, she is the lead actress of the upcoming film of the Light Cinema "Ligaw" as Criselle.
