President Rodrigo Duterte is set to be a grandfather again after his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte announced she is seven weeks pregnant with triplets.
"On this happy note, I would also like to share with you the news that I am pregnant and cannot join you in merrymaking activities," Inday said. "We are expecting triplets and they are doing well on their 7th week," Inday Sara announced.
Sara said this pregnancy is difficult because she has to carry three times more than a normal can should handle. However, she won’t stop working as the head of Davao City.
Duterte said she cannot join the upcoming Kadayawan festival since she is having a “hard time” dealing with the symptoms and complications of having three babies in her womb, in a statement read by city information officer Jefry Tupas Friday.
"The human body is made to carry just one baby and I am experiencing threefold all pregnancy symptoms that a woman goes through," Inday said. "I maybe physically weak but rest assured that I am on top of the situation here in the city."
