Former Senator Bong Revilla Jr. expressed his sentiments to the controversial accusation of President Duterte in linking De Lima and his driver to illegal drugs.
"Senator de Lima, walang takas sa karma. You dish it like the self-righteous person you are but act like a victim when you're on the receiving end. Kaming mga kalaban niyo, ginawan niyo ng kuwento at dinurog niyo ang pangalan at pagkatao ng ganun na lang," he said in his statement.
"Kaya ngayon, ang masasabi ko lang, sagutin mo nang diretso ang mga paratang sa ‘yo. Tapos na ang ilusyon mo. Harapin mo ang katotohanan," he further advised De Lima.
Revilla must have felt a sense of triumph as he slammed the senator saying:
"What goes around comes around."
Senator De Lima was the Justice Secretary during the time former Senators Bong Revilla Jr. and Jinggoy Estrada and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile were inweaved with the Pork Barrel Scam by Janet Lim- Napoles, the alleged mastermind.
He is still under the custody of the PNP in Camp Crame ever since charges of plunder were filed against him in September 2013 at the Office of the Ombudsman.
